I owned the UI and UX for both products at testnet launch: the bridge between Taiko L1 and L2, and the swap that follows it. Desktop and mobile from day one, for people who had never used a rollup.
The bridge stayed simple and kept people in the loop. At every step you can see where the funds are: approved, pending, confirmed, or waiting to claim.
The swap followed Web3 convention rather than inventing one: token search, quick picks, a balance on every row. People already knew the pattern, so there was nothing to learn.
Wallet connection adds both Taiko networks, L1 and L2, in one prompt.
The recommended fee is pre-selected. First-time bridgers have no way to judge gas pricing.
A custom fee stays available, with a risk notice attached.
Pending, confirmed, and claimable status stays on the same screen. Funds are never unaccounted for.
